Emotions are a fundamental part of the human experience. They guide our reactions, influence our decisions, and shape our interactions with the world. However, when emotions are repressed and stored within the body, they can have profound and often detrimental effects on both our physical and mental health. We unconsciously avoid or suppress emotions because we deem them unacceptable or too painful to confront. This avoidance can result from various factors, including cultural norms, upbringing, or traumatic experiences. Instead of expressing these emotions, we push them down, and they become stored within our body.
The Impact of Repressed Emotions
Physically:
Chronic Stress & Tension
Digestive Issues
Cardiovascular Problems
Weakened Immune System
Psychologically:
Depression & Anxiety
Emotional Outbursts
Substance Abuse
Relationship Issues
