Why do we, as humans, feel the need to prove we are amazing beings? Is this drive so ingrained in us that there's no escape? From the moment we're born, parents are left in complete awe of the miraculous journey a child takes into this world. I mean, have you seen a baby? These tiny little dictators arrive with their little fists clenched, ready to steal hearts faster than that creepy magician at a kid’s birthday party! Mothers are built like superheroes, enduring the epic saga of birthing—because let’s be real, pushing out a watermelon is like trying to squeeze a bowling ball through a straw!
As we watch these adorable little creations, we’re reminded of the greatness in the simplest things—like when they discover their toes and inspect them like they’re rare artifacts from a lost civilization. We cherish the so-called "firsts": the first smile (which is really just gas), the first steps (which quickly turn into drunken stumbles). It’s all fun and games until you’re stuck watching them eat dirt for the umpteenth time or hearing them scream, “Hey, look at me!” like they’re auditioning for a reality show. This marks the beginning of our addiction to attention, as we desperately seek to fill the void left behind when those moments of wonder fade.
In our quest for more, we strive to generate new "firsts", I can almost hear it now "Welcome to the Human Circus—where the main attraction is watching humanity juggle its mistakes like flaming bowling pins! "We chase attention that was once given freely—until it becomes as rare as a unicorn sighting. What starts as joyful exploration eventually turns into a burden, like trying to carry a stack of monkeys while riding a unicycle. We then look outside ourselves for fulfillment, caught in an endless cycle of seeking more: more experiences, more distractions, more fun—like a donkey (yes, ASS) pulling a wagon while chasing a carrot on a stick, only to find it’s been rigged by the one pulling the strings! (If you know me, you know what I'm talking about)
But what happens when the fun fades? We find ourselves starting over, searching for the next source of excitement, whether it’s a new hobby or a new person—because who doesn’t love the thrill of a fresh new obsession? In essence, we’re sold a bill of goods for fleeting privileges, always yearning for something deeper—like that elusive sense of peace we truly desire. STOP! It usually comes with a side of mindfulness and a hefty dose of “stop scrolling through social media—it’s a tool for gathering information, not a weapon for self-destruction!”
So, here’s one for the books; since birth, we’ve been looking to others for attention and guidance. Whether its parents cheering on our first wobbly steps or friends who validate our social media posts, we seek outside for what we already know deep down—that little secret we’ve carried all along. Imagine realizing that the peace we chase is like a cozy blanket we’ve been sitting on the whole time, or that the joy we seek is often found in the laughter of friends rather than the approval of strangers.
If you're curious about your own energetic journey, I invite you to explore what your energetic aura reveals about your path. Sometimes, a little insight can shine a light on the secret we all carry within. Feel free to reach out for a personalized aura reading!
