Nick's story began with a need for a more preferred life than the painful one he was living. He had this belief that he was going to earn his way into getting the love of his life and his perception of the American dream. Things appeared to be moving nicely as he worked on his soul's healing journey to accept his true nature. He grew more in tune with his innate self, things began to shift, and became a witness to his manifestations. He seemed to have it all, love of his life, great job, recently moved to a new home and even financed luxury cars one for each.

News came as a shock when he found his best friend and fiancé had betrayed his trust. They had been together since before the engagement, which only added to his outrage. There he was, sprawled out on the floor, riddled with grief and released a part of his wounded soul by crying out for help. He negotiated with the pain, begged it to go away, but it remained as an unwelcomed companion. He managed to peal himself off the ground, gathered his body to cooperate and keep it together until he could make sense of what happened. He couldn't understand how he would end up in this space, after all he'd been on a path to awakening. Nick had used his arsenal of spiritual tools where he would convince himself that nothing mattered other than to remind positive, yet he could not see the positive in such emotional, mental and physical torment.

Nick wanted to take responsibility for what had happened because he thought he understood the law of attraction, and yet this too contributed to his struggle. His mind looped back and forth with all kinds of emotional stories for hours until he had no more energy to fight, and his body went to sleep. This continued for a few weeks, until he decided to apply what he knew to be true and to surrender all to his higher self, with the understanding that he wanted to evolve, and he was willing see the story behind the story.

With some time, he came back into his true innate self, forgave all involved and realized that no one was to blame. Nick was so involved with his material world that he forgot the of unconditional spiritual aspect, which was always there, the one he called painful, constant and an unwanted companion. His way of thinking had shifted in the blink of an eye when a message came for him from spirit stating, "You need not earn your way into love, for love is something that is never owned, it is all you are."
