The Body Never Lies

By Annette Aviles

People think I’m soft. And they’re not wrong, I can be soft, that kind of melt‑in‑your‑hand soft, a gentle soft, but here’s the part nobody expects: If I constrict, I freeze. And when I freeze, I turn to stone. And if you try me in that state, you’ll meet a version of me you’ve never witnessed. Anger, overreacting, losing control none of that tells the truth. What you’re seeing in those moments is truth breaking through suppression and the body will always tell the truth before the mind does.
At times I have witness the body shaking and it is not fear, that is the lie leaving the body. We’ve been trained to mislabel everything:
shaking = fear
trembling = weakness
activation = anxiety
intensity = overreaction
truth‑telling = conflict
boundaries = aggression
Pay attention: The shaking only starts when you stop abandoning yourself. I’ve seen it in clients; relatives and I’ve seen it in myself. The moment someone speaks a truth they’ve swallowed for years, the body trembles like it’s finally exhaling. It’s releasing the cost of silence. Animals do this naturally, but we Humans call it a problem.
We Fear the Wrong Thing
A friend once told me theye wer afraid of water however, when they were actually in the water guess what? No fear. Because the fear wasn’t water, and then when that was brought to their attention, they named the fear as not touching the bottom. We stayed with it and discovered that not having orientation and not having control was the truth. The mind labels the wrong thing. The body tells the truth. And when the truth gets close? It shakes (amongst other things it does to reveal truth). It’s correcting the lie and our way of identifying it with negative outcomes is what is taking up space at the forefront.
The Double-Bind That Breaks Us
We grow up in a world that says:
Look, but don’t touch.
Touch, but don’t feel.
Feel, but don’t want.
Want, but don’t take.
Speak, but not too loudly.
Know, but don’t act.
Be aware, but don’t change anything.
"A system designed to manifest chaos will always punish clarity". So, the body holds the truth until it can’t anymore. And when it finally breaks through? It shakes.
When You Don't Hold Your Field Something Else Will
Here’s the part people don’t want to admit: When you don’t hold your own boundaries, when you don’t speak your truth, when you shrink, when you soften past your own comfort, when you let people override you and when you abandon your center: something else steps in and takes the space you vacated.
Illness. Inflammation. Chronic fatigue. Autoimmune and chaos. Mystery symptoms that “come out of nowhere.” Patterns that feel like invaders. This is not random or punishment. They’re not “just genetics.” they become an occupation.
Give an inch, take a mile isn’t just about people, it’s about energy, physiology, and the body’s last‑ditch attempt to protect you when you stop protecting yourself (Root Chakra issues especially SAFETY) So, when you don’t guard your field, the body tries to do it for you. And the body is not gentle about it. It will flare. It will ache. It will shut down. It will scream. It will shake, because you stopped being the gatekeeper. Your field is sacred territory. Your center is the sovereign land. Your truth is the border. And no one, I mean no one, crosses that line unless you abandon it first.
The Return to Center
Here’s the pattern nobody teaches you: Truth activates. Activation shakes. Shaking releases. Release centers. Center is neutrality. Neutrality isn’t numbness, nor detachment and is not above it: Neutrality is the moment after the shaking when the body says:
“This is me. Without the lie. Without the performance. Without the fear.” That’s the real you. The one beneath the soft. The one beneath the stone. The one beneath the eruption. The one who doesn’t need to fix anything, because the body already knows how to come home.
The Body Returns to Truth When You Stop Interrupting it.
You don’t need another:
a remedy
a modality
a certification
a spiritual bypass
a mindset hack
a course correction
You need to stop overriding the body’s intelligence. Because the body never lies. It shakes when truth is rising. It trembles when the old story cracks. It activates when you stop abandoning yourself. It settles when you return to center. And once you feel that? You can’t unfeel it. The moment you stop abandoning yourself, the shaking stops and the real you can stand in its rightful place within its own Sacred Divinity called Truth.
